JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR to open major UK tour in 2027 following West End engagements
It has been announced that Jesus Christ Superstar will tour the UK following the conclusion of its West End engagements at The London Palladium (now playing until 5 September) and Theatre Royal Drury Lane (16 October 2026 - 9 January 2027).
Sam Ryder brings his highly anticipated take on the iconic role of Jesus to theatres across the UK for the first time, with the tour beginning at the Palace Theatre Manchester from 11-27 February 2027.
Following Manchester, the production will go on to visit Cardiff, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Oxford, Norwich, Southend, Blackpool, Birmingham, Belfast, Bradford, Nottingham, Woking, Milton Keynes, Plymouth, Glasgow, Southampton, Sunderland, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Hull, and Bristol.

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic global phenomenon is directed by Tim Sheader, with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Drew McOnie, design by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Tom Scutt, musical supervision by Tom Deering, lighting by Lee Curran, sound by Adam Fisher, wigs, hair and makeup design by Sam Cox & Maria Johal, fight direction by Kate Waters, and casting by Grindrod Burton Casting.
