Full cast announced for UK premiere of JOHN PROCTOR IS THE VILLAIN at Royal Court

Casting has been announced for the UK transfer of one of the most anticipated shows of the year, the seven-time Tony Award-nominated John Proctor is the Villain by Kimberly Belflower, which plays at London’s Royal Court from 20 March-25 April.

The full new cast for the UK will include Lauryn Ajufo (The Den, Swan Wharf) as Nell Shaw, Charlie Borg (professional debut) as Lee Turner, Reece Braddock (professional debut) as Mason Adams, Dónal Finn (Hadestown, West End) as Carter Smith, Holly Howden Gilchrist (Beauty and the Beast, Citizens Theatre) as Beth Powell, Clare Hughes (Mary Page Marlowe, Old Vic) as Ivy Watkins, Miya James (Measure for Measure, RSC) as Raelynn Nix, Molly McFadden (professional stage debut) as Bailey Gallagher, and Sadie Soverall (The Cherry Orchard, St Ann’s Warehouse/Donmar Warehouse) as Shelby Holcomb.

The production features direction by Danya Taymor, scenography by AMP featuring Teresa Williams, costumes by Sarah Laux, lighting by Natasha Katz, sound and original composition by Palmer Hefferan, projection design by Hannah Wasileski, hair and make-up design by J. Jared Janas, movement direction by Tilly Evans-Kreuger, voice and dialect coaching by Gigi Buffington, casting by Julia Horan, CDG, and dramaturgy by Lauren Halvorsen.
