Join Capital Theatres in Edinburgh for a free circus workshop for artists, led by industry professionals from Circa Contemporary Circus on 28 October.
This workshop is part of the run of Duck Pond at the Festival Theatre. You will learn new circus skills and movement languages specific to the show. These performance components are then integrated to create a sequence or scene accompanied by the Duck Pond musical composition by Jethro Woodward and Tchaikovsky.
Writing submissions are now open for Page2Stage - an exciting new writing night, hosted by Traverse in Edinburgh.
Page2Stage supports grassroots theatre providing an open-access route to connect and collaborate. The event showcases extracts from 4 brand new plays, performed as rehearsed readings in front of a live audience and an industry panel providing dramaturgical feedback on the night. The audience, participants and panel are then invited to the cafe bar to continue the conversation and make connections.
Mentorship is also provided for new Directors to navigate the format and a feedback session after the event to discuss the event, your next steps or anything else you might want support with. Event date: Wednesday 25 November, 7.30pm
Deadline: Sunday 18 October, Midnight
