Snow White and the Happy Ever After Beauty Salon will run at Salisbury Playhouse this Christmas as part of Wiltshire Creative.

The production by Mike Akers will run as their festive family show and will open on 8 December and run until 31 December, and will put a new spin on Snow White as we know it.

We will see young apprentice Snow White working in her Aunt Trish’s beauty salon, curling the tails of the three little pigs and sharpening the teeth of the big bad wolf when stumbling across her aunt’s magic mirror puts her life in peril.

The show directed by Gareth Machin, with music by Tayo Akinbode and additional songs by Christopher Peake, will feature toe tapping live music, original songs and puppetry.

Artistic Director Gareth Machin said: “Mike Akers has created a wonderful Christmas present for all the family. Working with our brilliant pantomime creative team, I know we’ll be able to bring the show to life with laughter, colour and joy. I can’t wait to share this magical production with our audience!”

Cinderella will return as a full-scale pantomime in 2022 and any ticket holders will automatically have their tickets transferred to corresponding dates.

Cast and ticketing information will be announced soon.
