Acclaimed West End performers Sharon Sexton and Rob Fowler are set to release their brand-new album, across all major digital platforms on 14 November.
The record — featuring 10 original tracks — was recorded at The Umbrella Rooms Studios and produced by Ben Robbins, capturing the duo’s signature blend of soul, storytelling, and folk-inspired sound.
Funded by a devoted community of fans through a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year, Then Our Eyes Met is a true labour of love. From the brass-driven anthem ‘Soho’ to the soaring title track ‘Then Our Eyes Met’ and the poignant ballad ‘Hands of Time’, the album reflects the emotional range and musical depth that have defined Sexton and Fowler’s partnership — both on and off the stage.
The duo launched their album last weekend with two sold out performances in London’s Crazy Coqs, and are planning to tour throughout the UK in early in 2026.
Best known for originating the iconic roles of Falco and Sloane in the international smash-hit musical Bat Out of Hell, the pair earned critical acclaim for their electrifying on-stage chemistry — a spark that blossomed into real life when they married in 2023.
Having just completed the latest UK tour of Bat Out of Hell (which they embarked on with their young son), Sexton and Fowler show no signs of slowing down.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Fleetwood Mac and The Civil Wars, their sound fuses soulful vocals, rich harmonies, and timeless songwriting, exploring love, resilience, and the human connection that runs through every note.
Sexton said: “This album really captures the essence of our journey — both as artists and as a couple. These songs were penned in dressing rooms around the world, on the beach, on the couch, on the balcony! There’s a lot of us in this album.”
Fowler added: “It’s deeply personal, but music is universal, so we hope listeners will find their own stories in them too and that sense of escapism.”
They are set to tour to Manchester, Edinburgh, Brimingham, with further stops to be announced, also in Wales and Ireland, in Spring 2026.
