West End and Broadway stars join semi-staged West End concert of JO - THE LITTLE WOMEN MUSICAL

Further star casting has been announced for the world premiere semi-staged concert of Jo - The Little Women Musical in Concert at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 25 January.

Olivier Award-winning Tracie Bennett (Here We Are, Broadway/National Theatre; Follies, National Theatre) will step into the role of Aunt March, with Olivier Award-nominated Barry James (She Loves Me; Sweeney Todd, West End) as Grandfather/Mr. Laurence, and Liam Tamne (House of McQueen, Off-Broadway, Prince of Egypt, West End) as John Brooke.

They join the previously announced GRAMMY Award® nominee Christine Allado as Jo March, Eleanor Grant as Beth March, Chris Mann as Professor Bhaer, Kelly Mathieson as Meg March, Miyuki Miyagi as Sallie Gardner, Julian Ovenden as Father, Sophie Pollono as Amy March, Yazdan Qafouri as Fred Vaughn, and Tobias Turley as Theodore ‘Laurie’ Laurence.

Christine Ebersole has had to withdraw from the concert due to a scheduling problem.

Ensemble/chorus performers will be provided by Vocals Unlimited, with Tom Pearce serving as Choirmaster.

Final casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

Musical Theatre Trivia: This exciting casting news reunites Tracie Bennett and Barry James for the first time since they starred together in the West End in She Loves Me in 1994 and Les Misérables in 2006.
