Vanessa Williams to complete groundbreaking reign in THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA on 19 September

In news that will undoubtedly send a ripple (tasteful, not gauche) through the world of fashion, theatre, and anyone with a working knowledge of cerulean, Vanessa Williams’ (Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives) formidable tenure as the Editor-In-Chief of the West End’s most fashionable musical and ice queen Miranda Priestly will come to an end this Autumn.
Also stepping down from their role as Runway’s Creative Fashion Director, Nigel, is her right-hand man Matt Henry MBE (Kinky Boots, The Drifters Girl) in a run that has been nothing short of impeccably tailored.
The new staff taking up these esteemed positions will be announced in due course, but until then, both Williams and Henry will reign over Runway until 19 September, and 17 October respectively. For those whose incompetence has meant they haven’t yet visited the House of Miranda, that leaves just 11 weeks to catch Vanessa Williams in the iconic role.
The full cast alongside Williams and Henry are: Stevie Doc as the fish-out-of-water Andy, with Taila Halford as Miranda’s fiery and fashion-forward first assistant Emily, Keelan McAuley as Andy’s boyfriend Nate, and Dominic Andersen as the devious journalist, Christian.
