Three productions originating in Windsor to tour UK in 2026

Theatre Royal Windsor, one of the only unsubsidised producing theatres to operate all year round in Britain, has announced the Theatre Royal Windsor Season on Tour, comprising three productions originating at the theatre and touring the UK in 2026.

The 2026 Theatre Royal Windsor Season on Tour will include Noël Coward’s The Marquise, opening at Theatre Royal Windsor in May 2026, Graham Greene’s Our Man in Havana, opening there in July 2026, and the return of Royce Ryton’s acclaimed thriller The Anastasia File, which opens in September 2026, before touring across the UK.

Noël Coward’s witty romantic comedy The Marquise gets a vibrant 1930s twist in this new production originating at Theatre Royal Windsor, from 27 May – 6 June, before touring to Oxford Playhouse, Theatre Royal Bath, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford and further venues to be announced.

A sparkling and sophisticated tale of old secrets, impulsive passion and eternal youth, the production is directed by Philip Wilson, with set and costume design by Colin Falconer and lighting by Nick Richings. A star cast is to be announced.

Our Man in Havana, adapted by Clive Francis from Graham Greene’s novel, opens at Theatre Royal Windsor from 1 - 11 July, before touring to Salisbury Playhouse, Oxford Playhouse, Theatre Royal Bath, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford, Cheltenham Everyman and further venues to be announced.

A wonderfully funny and fast-moving romp, the production is directed by Philip Wilson, with set and costume design by Julie Godfrey, lighting by Nick Richings, and sound by Andy Graham, with casting to be announced.

Royce Ryton’s The Anastasia File returns in the autumn, following its recent critically acclaimed run at Theatre Royal Windsor from 30 September – 3 October, before touring to Salisbury Playhouse, Malvern Theatres, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford, and further venues to be announced.

The production is directed by Roy Marsden and stars returning cast Jenny Seagrove, Simon Shepherd, Ashley D. Gayle and Rosie Thomson, with sound by Dan Samson.

Theatre Director and Head of Venues for Bill Kenwright Ltd, Anne-Marie Woodley said, “In recent years, we’ve been immensely proud to develop exceptional work here at Theatre Royal Windsor, including our annual World Premieres born from our Writers in Residence initiative. Launching the first three plays of the Theatre Royal Windsor Season on Tour marks an exciting new chapter for us, and we’re thrilled to bring our productions to audiences across the UK.”
