THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL to have UK tour premiere

It has been announced today that the major Broadway hit The Spongebob Musical is set to receive its UK premiere next year in a countrywide tour. 

The show, which features the iconic characters Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, Eugene and Gary the Snail, will feature as part of Birmingham Hippodrome’s 2023 season, with the musical opening there in April. 

It has also been revealed that the show, featuring original music written by Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Sara Bareilles and more, will also run at the Theatre Royal Plymouth later next year with more venues to be announced. 

Casting will be announced in due course.
