Over 150 renowned stage designers and artists are donating original works to the second Stage Designers and Artists Auction for Gaza Babies taking place online from 26 October - 9 November on Galabid.

The auction will raise vital funds for charity Gaza Formula Fund so that they can provide infant formula, nappies, clean water and fresh food to desperate families in Gaza this winter.

The auction will feature original artwork, costume designs, photography, prints, sketches, puppets, props and ceramics donated from productions including Billy Elliot, Oliver!, Hunger Games, Cyrano de Bergerac, Titanique, Hamlet: Hail to the Thief, Monty Python’s Spamalot, War Horse, Game of Thrones: The Mad King and Lily Allen’s West End Girl.

Creatives donated include Christine Jones, Rufus Norris, Tim Hatley, Lesa Amoore, Rae Smith, Ian MacNeil, Grace Smart, John Keane, Rosanna Vize, Jasleen Kaur, Anthony Ward, Miriam Buether, Mark Thompson, Vicki Mortimer, Anna Fleischle, Lez Brotherston, among many others.

Each piece of artwork has been signed by the contributing designer or artist, offering theatre enthusiasts and art collectors a rare opportunity to acquire one-of-a-kind works, many associated with some of the world’s most prominent theatre productions.

The auction will launch at the Bush Theatre on 26 October followed by the two-week online auction hosted on GalaBid. One hundred per cent of the proceeds will support the Gaza Formula Fund’s work providing infant formula, nappies, clean water, food and other essential supplies to babies, children and families across Gaza.

Last year’s inaugural Stage Designers Auction for Gaza raised more than £32,000, demonstrating the extraordinary generosity of the theatre community and the public. This year, Gaza Formula Fund hopes to build on that success as the need for essential aid continues.

The Stage Designers and Artists Auction for Gaza will be available online through GalaBid from 26 October here.
