The Sing Space, the UK’s fastest growing musical theatre choir and West End Best Friend’s official choir partner, has expanded to 46 choirs in just four years.
This September, seven new Sing Space Musical Theatre Choirs will open their doors in Bedford, Dartford, Guildford, Huddersfield, St Helens, Stroud and Plymouth, welcoming singers of all levels of experience who share a love of singing and musical theatre.
Each choir is led by an experienced West End vocal coach, who is based in the local area, giving each choir its own unique community feel.
Choir sessions will include vocal technique instruction, learning musical theatre arrangements in harmony and belting out showtunes with fellow musical theatre lovers.
With nearly 50 choirs across the UK, choir members can expect local and national performance opportunities. Sing Space choir members recently performed at Cadogan Hall with West End stars Carrie Hope Fletcher, Sophie Isaacs and friends.
Sing Space founder Rachel Lynes said: “We’re so happy to bring our musical theatre choirs to new areas across the country. Our choirs are welcoming and joyful communities, bringing together singers of all backgrounds - from the experienced professional to complete beginners.
“It doesn’t matter whether you’ve sung before, or whether you can read music, we have learning resources to suit different styles of learning, and you’ll be learning under the expert guidance of a vocal coach, helping you to improve your voice safely.”
All Sing Space choirs are offering a limited number of £5 taster sessions in the first week of term (week commencing 21 September). For those interested in finding their local choir and booking a taster, please click here.
If you can’t wait till September, you can join Musical Fest, the Sing Space’s annual musical theatre festival which takes place at Goldsmiths University on 29-30 August.
