The Show Shanties Announce First Ever Live Performance in London

Ahoy there, matey! The Show Shanties have announced their first live performance in London with a preview at The Actors Church on Sunday 7th April 2024. 

Prepare to set sail on a musical adventure like no other as The Show Shanties take your favourite popular songs and beloved musical theatre tunes and transform them into shanties. You may remember The Show Shanties from their hugely popular online videos during Lockdown, which included their rendition of The Ballad of Sweeney Todd which had its first play on BBC Radio 2’s ‘Elaine Paige On Sunday’. You may also recall their take on Hamilton which had over a million plays and their ‘Shantified’ Six medley, where they were joined by members of the West End cast.

The Show Shanties boast an incredible cast including Louis Maskell (Lord of the Rings), Joe Bishop (Jersey Boys), Aidan Banyard (Les Misérables), Michael Riseley (Choir of Man), Andrew Gallo (Mamma Mia) and Ashley Jacobs (The Voice). 

Get ready to hear your favorite pop songs reimagined with a nautical twist, from chart-topping hits to iconic anthems. But that's not all! The Show Shanties dive deep into the world of musical theatre, taking songs from the bright lights of Broadway and the magic of the West End, infusing them with the spirit of the sea. 

So hoist the sails, raise your voices, and get ready to set sail on a musical journey you won't forget! 

There will be two performances on Sunday 7th April 2024 at 5pm and 6.30pm.
