Richmond Theatre announces star cast for CINDERELLA pantomime
Richmond Theatre has announced that Helen George, Charlie Stemp and Basil Brush will star in this year’s magical family pantomime Cinderella, playing at the venue from 6 December 2025 – 4 January 2026.
Best known to millions as Nurse Trixie Franklin in the BBC’s hit series Call The Midwife, Helen George will lead the cast as the Fairy Godmother. Joining her as Buttons is West End and Broadway star and Olivier Award nominee Charlie Stemp, with legendary TV fox Basil Brush as Baron Basil.
On making her pantomime debut, Helen said: “I’m so excited to be making my panto debut as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. I’ve always loved the magic of panto - I can’t wait for my children to see me on stage, and what better place than Richmond to do it!”
On coming to Richmond Theatre for panto, Charlie said: “I’ve had the most incredible time performing in pantomimes at The London Palladium over the years, and I’m so excited to now bring that same festive magic to Richmond. There’s nothing quite like the joy and energy of panto - and getting to share that with audiences in such a beautiful and historic theatre is a real treat. I can’t wait to get started!”
Cinderella is produced by Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, and the team behind Richmond’s festive productions each year. Michael Harrison, Chief Executive of Crossroads Pantomimes said:
“We’re thrilled to be bringing such an exceptional cast to Richmond this Christmas. Helen George, Charlie Stemp and Basil Brush are all beloved by audiences of all ages, and together they promise a truly magical production of Cinderella.”
