Fringe review: THIS ISN’T WORKING, FaceOddity Productions - Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Navigating a series of trial shifts, Sandy Surname is relying on the team at the Job Centre to get him out of unemployment. MI5 operative, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Grimswald Town Cryer, Sandy is painfully over-skilled for all of them.

This is a good old fashioned sketch show. Performed in the style of Monty Python or The Two Ronnies and all of those that came before them, it's exactly what it pretends to be; ridiculous comedy situations where the straight man tries to navigate his way through.

With character names such as Frank Torkingto, Sid Knee, Fiddle Castro and a ship named HMS Catastrophe, there's not much more we can say!

FaceOddity are Michael Zwiauer, Dan Barber, Will Peppercorn, and Fergus Head. They work incredibly well together, clearly tuned into each others comic prowess. Little set or props is needed, the jokes speak for themselves.

This is a great night’s viewing, simple laughs and highly entertaining.

Consistently funny!
