Remembering comedian BARRY HUMPHRIES

It has been announced that Australian comedian Barry Humphries has sadly died aged 89.

Best known for his comedy character Dame Edna Everage, Humphries was admitted to hospital in Sydney following complications with his recent hip replacement surgery.

Humphries moved to London in 1959 where he appeared in West End productions such as Maggie May and Oliver! He also won a WhatsOnStage Award in 2014 for his solo performance in Eat, Pray, Laugh!, and was most recently seen in London last summer performing Barry Humphries: The Man Behind the Mask.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
