Original festive musical A TALE TO TELL released on Theatre Channel

Theatre Channel has announced the digital release of A Tale To Tell, an original festive musical that captures the heart and imagination of Christmas storytelling.

Streaming globally from today (2 Dec), A Tale To Tell brings the beloved traditions of pantomime and holiday cinema to audiences everywhere.

Written, directed and produced by Glen “Pulse” Murphy, with an original score co-written with Nick Barstow, A Tale to Tell transports viewers to a world where legendary fairy-tale icons live openly among the public as familiar household names.

Each year, their stories are retold through grand pantomimes, forming the foundation of their cultural identity.

But in 2020, when the annual production is unexpectedly cancelled, these icons return from their everyday lives to face a crisis of purpose. Without their show, who are they?

United by determination and festive spirit, the characters join forces to create a brand-new tale worth telling – a story that may yet save Christmas itself. Rich with song, dance, comedy, and heart, the film evokes the warmth of classic festive cinema while offering a joyful, contemporary take on the pantomime tradition.

Featuring a celebrated cast including Ashley Glazebrook, Glen Murphy, Aston Merrygold, Alice Fearn, Tom Lister, Frances Mayli McCann, Matt Lapinskas, Lisa Mathieson, Aimee Hodnett, Aidan O’Neill, Genevieve Nicole, Jason Denton, Joelle Dyson, Francesca Lara Gordon, Martyn Knight, Michael Neilson, Lizzie Gee, Sevn Skyers, Hannah Boyce and Flawless, A Tale To Tell showcases original songs including ‘A Wonderful Time of Year’, ‘No More Light’ and ‘A Story To Tell’.

Theatre Channel invites audiences everywhere to experience these two new additions to the festive season, celebrating the enduring tradition of Christmas storytelling.
