Orange Tree Theatre announces full casting for CRANFORD
The Orange Tree Theatre (OT) has announced full casting for Cranford by Lin Coghlan and Shaun McKenna, based on the original novel by Elizabeth Gaskell, which begins performances on 3 November and runs until 16 January.
Co-created and directed by Josh Roche, the cast includes the previously announced Tamsin Greig as Matty Jenkyns, alongside Sara Crowe (The Mirror Crack’d, The Mill at Sonning) as Mrs Forester, Abigail Cruttenden (The Importance of Being Earnest, Royal Exchange) as Deborah Jenkyns/Lady Glenmire, Saffron Dey (Hamnet, RSC/International tour) as Martha/Young Matty, Alexandra Gilbreath (Fallen Angels, Menier Chocolate Factory) as Miss Pole, Jonny Glynn (Queen Anne, Theatre Royal Haymarket) as Older Peter/Signor Brunoni/Mr Johnson/Rev Jenkyns/Mulliner, Michael Lumsden (The Forsythe Saga, Park Theatre/RSC) as Tom Holbrook/Dr Hoggins/Dobson, Robert Merriam (Whatever Happened to that Guy?, Park Theatre) as Jem Hearn/Young Peter, Sara Powell (Hamlet, Chichester Festival Theatre) as Mrs Jamieson, and Phoebe Pryce (The Crucible, Shakespeare’s Globe) as Eliza Cleghorn.

The creative team also includes set & costume design by Natalie Johnson, lighting by Jamie Platt, sound and composition by Max Pappenheim, and casting consultancy by Jacob Sparrow.
