New West End cast announced for THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG

With some trepidation, producers Kenny Wax and Stage Presence have nervously announced the 11th full cast change of The Play That Goes Wrong at London’s Duchess Theatre.

Mischief’s Olivier and Tony Award-winning smash hit is unbelievably still in the West End for its 11th year.

Joining the mayhem from 3 June are new cast members: Izzy Edmunds-Clarke (professional stage debut) as Annie, Jack Hardwick (The Bodyguard, UK tour) as Chris, Robert Jackson (Julius Caesar, RSC) as Robert, Jonty Peach (Operation Mincemeat, West End) as Jonathan, Charlotte Scott (A Chorus Line, Curve Leicester) as Sandra, Mitesh Soni (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, RSC/Barbican) as Dennis, Tom Wainwright (Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle, West End/UK tour) as Max, and Ronnie Yorke (Will or Eight Lost Years of Young Shakespeare’s Life, Rose Playhouse) as Trevor. Winston the dog returns to play Winston the dog. (If Winston is found). The understudies are: Alex Blackie (Play Ai, Camden Fringe), Jake Burgum (Venus in Fur, West End), Kitty Devlin (Bridgerton, Netflix), Louise Hoare (A Sherlock Carol, Marylebone Theatre), and Ed Shamwana (Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle, Mischief).

The Cornley Drama Society have announced that they intend to keep performing the show until they get it 100% right. In light of this, the producers have extended booking until 'at least' August 2026, with some confidence. Cornley have yet to notice.
