New principal cast members announced for HADESTOWN in West End
Producers of the Tony® and Grammy Award-winning musical Hadestown, which will celebrate its 1000th performance at the Lyric Theatre in London’s West End this week, have announced an exciting line up of new cast members, with accolades spanning chart-topping pop music, classical opera, film, television and theatre, who will join the company from 15 September.
Internationally acclaimed soprano and broacaster Danielle de Niese will play Persephone, alongside Shaun Dooley (Mr Bates Vs The Post Office, ITV) as Hades, Fayth Ifil (Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, West End) as Eurydice, Malinda Parris (Hercules, West End) as Hermes, and The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes as Orpheus.
They join Melanie Bright, Spike Maxwell and Lauran Rae as the Fates; and Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Gabriela Benedetti, Ollie Bingham and Sebastian Lim-Seet as the Workers, with Juan Jackson, Oisín Nolan-Power, Lindo Shinda, Jasmine Triadi and Milly Willows as Swings.
