Neil Morrissey to star in Mark Gatiss’ adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Alexandra Palace

Full casting has been announced for Mark Gatiss’ massively popular adaptation of A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story, which returns to Alexandra Palace for a third Christmas season from 21 November 2025 - 4 January 2026.
Neil Morrissey (Men Behaving Badly, Waterloo Road) will play Jacob Marley and Matthew Cottle (Bridgerton, The Windsors) will return as Scrooge. They are joined by Charlotte Bate (Julius Caesar, Shakespeare’s Globe) as Mrs Cratchit, Michaela Bennison (I’m Sorry, Prime Minister, Barn Theatre) as Caroline, Jacob Daniels (The 39 Steps, West End/UK tour) as Swing, Henry Davis (Jersey Boys, UK tour) as Bob Cratchit, Maya de Faria (Roman Holiday, Theatre Royal Bath) as Swing, Elliot Douglas (Heartstopper, Netflix) as Tiny Tim, Michael Mears and the Narrator, Kalifa Taylor (Look Who’s All Grown Up, The Space) as Belle, Mark Theodore (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, West End) as Ghost of Christmas Present, and Lance West (Beyond Paradise, BBC) as Fred. Kalifa Taylor, Mark Theodore and Lance West all return to the show following the run last Christmas in Birmingham.
Frozen in time with beautifully preserved original features, the wonderfully atmospheric Alexandra Palace Theatre provides the perfect setting for audiences to enjoy one of the most famous and beloved Christmas stories ever told. Filled with Dickensian, spine-tingling special effects, prepare to be frightened and delighted in equal measure as you enter the supernatural Victorian world of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

Directed by Adam Penford, the story stays true to the spirit of the original novel. The acclaimed production is designed by Paul Wills, with lighting by Philip Gladwell, sound by Ella Wahlström, video design by Nina Dunn, movement direction by Georgina Lamb, and composition by Tingying Dong.
