National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene announces Off-Broadway return of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF IN YIDDISH

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene have announced an Off-Broadway return of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, which will play at New World Stages from 13 November-1 January 2023. 

Oscar and Tony Winner Joel Gray will return as director for the production. Also featured will be a book by Joseph Stein based on stories by Sholem Aleichem, music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, choreography by Jerome Robbins, musical staging and new choreography by Staś Kmiećand Yiddish translation by Shraga Friedman. 

The show will be in Yiddish with English and Russian supertitles. Steven Skybell will return to star as Tevye, with further casting to be announced in due course.
