Olivier Award nominee Frances Mayli McCann and Zachary Pang announced for musical YOU & IT

Producers of the internationally acclaimed Korean musical You & It have unveiled the full cast for its London premiere, with Olivier Award nominee Frances Mayli McCann (The Great Gatsby, West End) and Zachary Pang (Kimberley Akimbo, Pangdemonium) starring in the production's two roles when the award-winning production opens at the King's Head Theatre this August.

Running from 20 August – 26 September, You & It arrives in London following acclaimed productions in South Korea, Taiwan and a celebrated English-language run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, continuing the growing international success of original Korean musical theatre.

Set in a near-future world where humans and AI coexist, You & It tells the moving story of a grieving widower who encounters an artificial intelligence created in the image of his late wife. As technology offers him a second chance at connection, he is forced to confront grief, memory and the true meaning of love. Combining an intimate two-person story with a soaring contemporary score, the musical explores one of today's most thought-provoking questions: if technology can recreate the people we love, what truly makes us human?

Completing the company is Lucy Park (My Neighbour Totoro, West End), who joins You & It as understudy.

The London production is directed by acclaimed Canadian theatre director Esther Jun.

Founder of MCG Productions, Stephen McGill, said: "We're delighted to welcome Frances and Zachary to You & It. They are two exceptional performers whose chemistry, emotional depth and musical talent make them the perfect pairing for this beautiful story. As Korean musical theatre continues to gain international recognition, we're excited to introduce London audiences to a production that is both deeply moving and incredibly relevant."

Also on the creative team are lyricist Ricky Allan, dramaturg (& additional lyrics) Yojiro Ichikawa, musical director/musical supervisor Amy Hsu, set designers Bob Sterrett & Lu Herbert, costume designer Lu Herbert, lighting designer Jonathan Chan, sound designer Adrienne Quartly, and casting director Ben Armstrong.
