Lin-Manuel Miranda’s animated musical film VIVO to premiere on Netflix

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s upcoming animated musical film, Vivo, will premiere on Netflix rather than receive a cinema release as originally planned, it has been announced.

Directed by Kirk DeMicco and co-directed by Brandon Jeffords, the family friendly film follows a unique kinkajou - a rainforest “honey bear,” voiced by Miranda. The cast also includes Gloria Estefan, Zoe Saldana, Brian Tyree Henry, Nicole Byer and Ynairaly Simo.

The Netflix release date has yet to be announced.
