Lead casting announced for THE BODYGUARD UK and European Tour

Lead casting has been announced for the upcoming UK and European tour of award-winning smash hit musical THE BODYGUARD, which opens at The Alexandra in Birmingham on 20 September.

The cast includes international leading lady Sidonie Smith (The Bodyguard, Stuttgart) as Rachel Marron, Olivier Award nominee Adam Garcia (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, UK tour) as Frank Farmer, Sasha Monique (Hairspray, UK tour) as Nicki Marron, and Matt Milburn (Coronation Street, ITV) as Sy Spector. At certain performances, the role of Rachel Marron will be played by Mireia Mambo (A Chorus Line, Sadler’s Wells/UK tour).

Based on Lawrence Kasdan’s 1992 Oscar nominated Warner Bros. movie starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, THE BODYGUARD musical is directed by Thea Sharrock, with a book by Oscar winning Alex Dinelaris.

Following Birmingham, the tour will visit Blackpool, Oxford, Aberdeen, Milton Keynes, Stoke, Zurich, Munich, Southend, Manchester, Truro, Sheffield, Wimbledon, Berlin, Frankfurt, Southampton, Sunderland, Belfast, Leicester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Llandudno, Bradford, Liverpool, Norwich, Woking, Plymouth, Nottingham, Cardiff, Newcastle, Dublin, Bristol, and Eastbourne.
