Lashana Lynch to star in world premiere of DISSENT at Young Vic Theatre
It has been announced that Lashana Lynch (Day of the Jackal) will star in dissent, an explosive new play from Olivier and BAFTA Award winner Debbie Tucker Green, which runs at the Young Vic Theatre from 5 March - 24 April 2027.

Written and directed by debbie tucker green, dissent features set and costume design by Ruby Law (RULA), lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Christopher Shutt, and movement direction by Vicki Manderson.
The Young Vic Theatre’s Artistic Director and CEO Nadia Fall has also announced details of the final four shows that complete her 2026/7 season today - a programme of compelling international storytelling from world-class theatre makers and exciting new voices.
From political acts to bitingly dark satires and a weimar-esque cabaret, to an otherworldly journey unfolding within a shipping container, the final four shows in the 2026/7 season experiment with form to create startlingly relevant, theatrical responses to the world around us.
The shows include the UK Premiere of Milo Rau and Servane Dècle’s The Pelicot Trial, a reimagining of Franz Kafka’s seminal short story A Hunger Artist, the London premiere of new show What’s the F**king Point? by multi award-winning disability-led theatre company FlawBored, and Eulogy from pioneering immersive theatre producers DARKFIELD.
