Kilworth House Theatre in Leicestershire has announced the two musicals making up its spectacular 2027 season.
The season will open with one of the greatest classics of all time, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, running from 8 June - 11 July 2027. Bursting with unforgettable songs including ‘Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’’, ‘People Will Say We’re in Love’ and ‘The Surrey with the Fringe on Top’, the show blends sweeping romance with the pioneering spirit of the American frontier. Oklahoma! remains a landmark of musical theatre, and Kilworth audiences can expect a fresh, vibrant staging filled with energy, heart and the trademark production values that have made the theatre a beloved destination for summer musicals.
Following Oklahoma!, the stage transforms for a high‑heeled celebration of individuality, joy and fierce determination as Kinky Boots strides into Kilworth from 27 July - 29 August 2027. Featuring standout numbers such as ‘Land of Lola’, ‘Take What You Got’, ‘Everybody Say Yeah’ and the show‑stopping ‘Raise You Up/Just Be’, Kinky Boots tells the uplifting story of Charlie Price and Lola, two unlikely partners who discover that sometimes the best way to fit in is to stand out. Packed with glitter, glamour and a message of acceptance, this modern favourite promises to be one of the most exhilarating productions ever seen at Kilworth.
