Full cast and creative team announced For ONE DAY THE MUSICAL
Ahead of One Day's highly anticipated transfer to London's West End, Melting Pot has announced its full cast and creative team.
Performances for the London transfer are set to start at the Garrick Theatre on 17 November and welcomes the return of Jamie Muscato (Cabaret; The Great Gatsby; Moulin Rouge! The Musical, West End) and Sharon Rose (Sylvia, Old Vic; Hamilton, West End) as they reprise their celebrated roles as Dex and Em.
Further casting announced today includes Dan Buckley (Fishermans Friends the Musical, UK & International tour) as Ian, Dougie Carter (Anything Goes, Kilworth House Theatre) as Callum, Anna-Jane Casey (Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Curve/Tour) as Alison Mayhew, Ross Dawes (The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, West End) as Mr Godalming, Christopher Dickins (Mamma Mia!, West End) as Stephen Mayhew, Vanessa Fisher (Stranger Things: The First Shadow, West End) as Ensemble, Kelly Hampson (Stiletto, Charing Cross Theatre) as Sylvie, Jennifer Louise Jones (My Fair Lady, Chichester Festival Theatre) as Miffy, Romona Lewis-Malley (Clueless, West End) as Tilly, Rosalía Morales (West End debut) as Understudy, Ewan Murphy (Grease, Kilworth House) as Ensemble, and Tom Mussell (Come Fall in Love, Manchester Opera House) as Understudy. Jasmine and Sonia are played by Bonnie Harper, Esmae Kevany, Hannah McIntyre, and Ava-Rae Timewell.
This brand-new adaptation of the beloved story is written by The Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh’s former Artistic Director David Greig, with music and lyrics by Abner and Amanda Ramirez (of acclaimed US band Johnnyswim), with additional material by Jeremy Sams, and directed by Tony and Olivier award nominee Max Webster.
The creative team is completed by choreographer Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, musical supervisor, musical director and co-arranger Nigel Lilley, set and costume designer Rae Smith, lighting designer Bruno Poet, sound designer Simon Baker, video designer Lewis den Hertog, wigs, hair and make up designer Carole Hancock, orchestrator and co-arranger Simon Hale, casting director Stuart Burt CDG, intimacy director Ingrid Mackinnon, voice coach Barbara Houseman, and children’s casting director Keston and Keston.
