Fringe review: LUKE KEMPNER IN GRITTY POLICE DRAMA: A ONE MAN MUSICAL, Avalon - Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Star of Spitting Image (Britbox) and Steph's Packed Lunch (Channel 4), impressionist Luke Kempner brings his one-man British police drama to Edinburgh. It's Line of Duty meets Happy Valley meets Clarkson's Farm meets Match of the Day meets King Charles meets The Traitors. With 60 impressions in 60 minutes, no-one is safe!

This is undoubtedly one of THE funniest shows we have seen at the Fringe this year. We were blown away by the talent in the room! Kempner not only does these continuous impressions (that are all identifiable by the way, none of them are a stretch of the imagination), he also has conversations within those characters, swapping seamlessly between them. He then sings within those impressions! It's incredible to hear (he has pretty fine vocals too). The lyrics are even adapted to the Gritty Police Drama genre!

We laughed so much, for so long! You have to put this show on your watch list, it cannot be missed.

Fearless, funny and faultless.

***** Five stars
