First tour casting announced for new touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber musical CATS

Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals presents the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s global sensation, CATS, across a major UK and Ireland tour and has announced initial casting today.

The brand-new production of the multi-award-winning musical will open at Theatre Royal Plymouth, where it plays from 6 – 17 October and then tours through to June 2027.

The UK and Ireland tour will star Fin Adams as Alonzo, Kalisha Amaris as Old Deuteronomy, Carla Bertran as Electra / Co-Dance Captain, Elliot Broadfoot as Bustopher Jones / Gus, Grace Burrows (Offstage Swing), Matthew Caputo as Skimbleshanks, Josie Chambers-Sims as Syllabub, Briana Craig as Rumpleteazer, Katie Dunsden as Bombalurina, Joshua-Samuel Freeman as Tumblebrutus, Regan Garcia as Pouncival, Aaron Jenkins (Offstage Swing), Hannah Joseph as Victoria, Taziva-Faye Katsande as Tantomile, Diante Lodge as Macavity, Shona Mairi Masson (Offstage Swing), Owen McHugh as George, Danny Nattrass as Mungojerrie, Millie O'Connell as Demeter, Andrew Parfit as Coricopat, Dean Rickards (Offstage Swing), Nathan Rigg (Offstage Swing), Lucie-Mae Sumner as Jellylorum / Griddlebone, Laura Tyrer as Jennyanydots / Gumbie Cat, Jaydon Vijn as Rum Tum Tugger, Jack Wilcox as Munkustrap, Jet Yau as Mr. Mistoffelees, Taela Yeomans-Brown (Offstage Swing / Co-Dance Captain), and Patricia Zhou as Cassandra.

Casting for Grizabella will be announced later this year.

The tour is directed and choreographed by Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre Artistic Director, Drew McOnie and follows a record-breaking summer season now playing at the venue until 19 September.

With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot, this production of CATS after its Theatre Royal, Plymouth dates, will visit Hull, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Llandudno, Glasgow, Nottingham, Canterbury, Sunderland, Aberdeen, Norwich, Belfast, Dublin, Oxford, Southampton, Edinburgh, Bradford, Liverpool, Woking, Cardiff, Milton Keynes, and Newcastle.

Joining Drew McOnie on the creative team are set, costume ang wigs designer Sami Fendall, lighting designer Jessica Hung Han Yun, sound designer Adam Fisher, makeup designer Guy Common, intimacy director Ingrid Mackinnon, fight director Kev McCurdy, casting director Will Burton, and musical supervisor Alex Parker.
