Having entertained 65,000 people in 92 countries with 10 live performances in March, The Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of ‘Dream’ is now available on an online platform until 30 September.

Created by the Royal Shakespeare Company in collaboration with Manchester International Festival, Marshmallow Laser Feast and Philharmonia Orchestra, ‘Dream’ explored how audiences could experience live performance in the future by using motion capture and cutting-edge research and development.

Directed by Robin McNicholas, audiences can travel with Puck through a virtual midsummer forest under the shadow of gathering clouds, lit by the glimmer of fireflies and into the eye of a cataclysmic storm.

Seven actors worked under strict Covid protocols these were EM Williams as Puck, Phoebe Hyder as Understudy Puck and Mustardseed, Maggie Bain as Cobweb, Durassie Kiangangu as Moth, Jamie Morgan as Peaseblossom, Loren O’Dair as Mustardseed and Edmund Wood as rehearsal assistant, Understudy Moth, Cobweb and Peaseblossom.

The actors worked alongside motion capture specialists, special audio designers, 3D Houdini artists and movement director Sarah Perry to bring ‘Dream’ to life.

You can view the show here until the 30 September.
