Corbin Bleu and John Behlmann to join THE GREAT GATSBY on Broadway

Producers of Broadway smash hit The Great Gatsby have announced that film, TV, and stage star Corbin Bleu (High School Musical, Kiss Me Kate) will join the Broadway company as Nick Carraway after dazzling audiences in the West End production last year. Bleu joins the company with Broadway favourite John Behlmann (Tootsie, Shucked) as Tom Buchanan on 30 March.

As previously announced, Eva Noblezada returns to the award-winning musical as Daisy Buchanan on 4 March, starring opposite her newly wedded husband – Broadway leading man Reeve Carney – in the show’s title role when he joins the company on 30 March. In preceding weeks, Eva will reunite with her original co-star Jeremy Jordan (who plays his final performance as Jay Gatsby on 7 March), and Ryan McCartan (who steps back into the role from 8-29 March.

Until 2 March, the role of Daisy is shared by Traci Elaine Lee, Elena Ricardo, and Kyla Stone.

Continuing in the cast are Broadway favourites Linedy Genao as Myrtle Wilson, Samantha Pauly as Jordan Baker, Charlie Pollock as George Wilson, and Eric Anderson as Meyer Wolfsheim. The production’s standout ensemble features Alexis Hasbrouck, Curtis Holland, Nathaniel Hunt, Traci Elaine Lee, Dariana Mullen, Mariah Reives, Elena Ricardo, Dan Rosales, Dave Schoonover, Mike Schwitter, Tess Soltau, Preston Taylor, Jessica Mallare White, Matt Wiercinski, and Kyla Stone. Kurt Csolak, Haley Fish, Morgan Harrison, Justin Keats, Drew Lake, Brandon J. Large, Alicia Lundgren, and Alex Prakken complete the cast as swings.

Through an electrifying jazz and pop-infused score, featuring music and lyrics by Tony Award nominees Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen, The Great Gatsby was adapted for the Broadway stage by Jonathan Larson Grant-winning playwright Kait Kerrigan, award-winning director Marc Bruni, and choreographer Dominique Kelley.
