Comedian Seann Walsh & Tall Stories join the Pleasance’s Edinburgh programme

Seann Walsh

Returning to the Pleasance this year will be comedian Seann Walsh and Tall Stories, who will join a line-up that includes plenty in the way of comedy, theatre and performance.

Walsh will be performing his show Back from the Bed (formerly called Same Again?). He’ll be joined by Aurie Styla, who will be making his Edinburgh debut, having sold out 3 UK tours. He’ll be bringing some of his best routines and road testing material for his new tour. More comedy will come from Rachel Fairburn, presenting her new work-in-progress Maniac. As well as sets from Sam Lake (Leicester Square Theatre’s New Comedian of the Year), Tom Lucy (ITV, Comedy Central), Josh Jones (8 Out of 10 Cats), and Louise Young (So You Think You’re Funny finalist).

Alongside the live shows, Pleasance also has a strong online programme ensuring audiences can still enjoy the Fringe without having to attend in person.

Tall Stories will be presenting a reimagining of a tiny snail’s incredible trip around the world, inspired by the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, The Snail and the Whale.

Pleasance’s pilot programme, The Edinburgh Fringe Digital Showcase has a fantastic line-up which includes Jam First’s Hellish, The Sian Clarke Experience, Owdyado presenting Twisted Tales Goes to The Fringe, Arthur Smith’s SYD, Natasha Brown’s I am (Not) Kanye West, and Coppice Theatre’s children’s show Science Adventures- The Power Pickle. These will be joined by three further on-demand productions: The Inquest, Zoo Humans, and RAT.

Other shows available online to enjoy include DESTINY, Look No Hands, Prison Game, and It Kind of Looks Like A Doughnut.

The programme is in partnership with The Academy of Music & Theatre Arts at Falmouth University, their world-class broadcast and creation studios will become the hub for livestreams, on sale through the AMATA box office. Tickets will be available for catch-up viewing on the Fringe Player too.
