Casting announced for COCKFOSTERS at Southwark Playhouse
Full casting has been announced for London’s smash hit comedy COCKFOSTERS, which returns to Southwark Playhouse Borough from 4 December 2025 - 3 January 2026.
COCKFOSTERS is a “screamingly funny” (The Prickle) off-the-rails comedy about the London Underground that perfectly captures “the love-hate relationship we’ve all had with the tube” (★★★★ BroadwayWorld). It is a brilliantly surreal comedy that will change your commute forever.
Strangers James and Tori meet on the Piccadilly Line at Heathrow and travel across London on a journey they'll never forget.
1 Tube Carriage. 38 Stops. 0 Refunds.
With original music, relatable sketches and hilarious characters - this is sure to be an enter-train-ing ride of a lifetime.
The production welcomes Princess Donnough (Sh*tFaced Shakespeare, UK tour/Edinburgh Fringe) and Verity Bajoria (The Three Musketeers, Greenwich Theatre) to the team, who join returners to the production: Beth Lilly (The Play That Goes Wrong, West End/UK tour), Emily Waters (Bleak Expectations, West End), Liam Horrigan (Cluedo; Cluedo 2, UK tour), Sam Rees-Baylis (A Grave Situation, Theatre503) and Charlie Keable (News Revue, Edinburgh Fringe).
Writers Hamish Clayton and Tom Woffenden said: “We're thrilled the ride continues, as the show continues to build up a head of steam. After tube-strikes threatened to ‘derail’ our run in 2024 and TFL slapped us on the wrist in 2023, we can’t imagine what train-shaped obstacle will come our way next!
“The show will be bigger, better and even more chaotic than ever and we can't wait to bring it back to Southwark Playhouse - a brilliant champion for new work. The show is thriving on a bigger platform and we’re delighted that even more passengers can share in the madness. Who knows where the next stop could be?”
Written by Tom Woffenden and Hamish Clayton (also director), COCKFOSTERS has set design by Gareth Rowntree with lighting by Ben Sayers, and features original songs by Rich Longdon and Tom Woffenden.
