Cast and creative team announced for workshop of new one-person musical MY SISTER IS MISSING

The cast and creative team have been revealed for the workshop of Izzie Winter’s new British thriller musical comedy My Sister Is Missing, which will be held in October.

The musical will be directed by Georgie Rankcom (they/them), with movement direction by William Spencer (he/him), and will star writer and composer Izzie Winter as Basil (they/them).

Basil’s sister is missing, and after being made redundant from the laundrette, they have a lot of free time. With a passion for fixing things, they decide to take matters into their own hands. Basil may not like change, loud noises, or bus journeys, but nothing will stop them from finding their sister.

My Sister Is Missing puts a nonbinary protagonist centre stage. Izzie Winter said: “There needs to be more trans/nonbinary characters in musical theatre, written to have as colourful and authentic lives as we live off stage”.

The five-day workshop will be crowdfunded, to be presented to a closed industry audience to prepare for theatre audiences in 2023. To support the workshop, please click here.
