Bristol Old Vic has announced a new series of opportunities for audiences to explore and engage with their wealth of digital programming to tide us over until we can all be in the same space enjoying theatre and live performance once more. Hold tight Besties, there’s quite a list!

To coincide with the broadcast of  the previously announced The Meaning of Zong by Giles Terera, there will be a free Q & A with the cast and creative team about the play itself, what it means to our society and why it is so important and timely that this story is told now. This event will take place on 31 March.

Fans of The Grinning Man rejoice: 30 April sees the cast and crew reunite for a special celebration of how this show was created, the wild success it came to be, and the fans who took it to their hearts. Among the guests are Finn Caldwell and Toby Olié of Gyre and Gimble who designed the puppetry for the show. This date also marks the finale of the theatre’s Favourites Box Set streaming on demand, of which The Grinning Man was the standout popular choice!

When 2015’s Pink Mist is released for streaming on demand on 22 March, playwright Owen Sheers offers his selections for the second “Five Beautiful Things”, curating inspirational work from artists all around the UK and beyond to explore.

Hot on the heels of their previous sell out success, the series of free workshops: “Let’s...” will return with seven new sessions on everything from sound to storytelling and auditions with the aim od supporting budding artists and theatre explorers regardless of their experience level, with the help of some of the industry’s experts.
