Brand new Musical Theatre Fan Fest arrives in Birmingham in 2027
Something stagey is coming to the NEC Birmingham on 7-8 August 2027...
Created by mother-and-daughter team Alexandra Vickers, founder of Musical Theatre Pins and co-founder of Musical Theatre Market, and Doré Vickers, co-founder of Musical Theatre Market, Oh So Stagey Fan Fest is a brand-new, fan-first celebration of musical theatre, stage culture, shopping, creativity, community, behind-the scenes magic, and all things stagey.
It’s the next chapter for the team behind the fan-favourite Musical Theatre Market, and will bring the community that has grown around the market into a whole new kind of event.
Doré Vickers said: “Musical Theatre Market grew so much faster than we expected! We always wanted to create something like this and the success of the market has shows us that people trust us to do that. Oh So Stagey feels like the natural next step, keeping Musical Theatre Market at its heart but taking inspiration from various comic-con style events to create a musical theatre specific fan fest.”
Musical theatre fans are some of the most passionate, loyal and vocal audiences in live entertainment, and yet unlike comic, gaming or anime communities there aren't many spaces for us to be our stagiest selves. Theatre kids deserve more events. That’s why Oh So Stagey Fan Fest was created.
Built for the people who don’t just watch theatre but live it, love it, quote it, sing it, collect it and cosplay it. Oh So Stagey aims to create a joyful national home for stagey fans outside the London theatre bubble.
Alexandra Vickers said: “Theatre is all about a group of people who love one thing, coming together to create. Everyone brings their niche and specific skills/interests to the table and something really beautiful happens when you put all the pieces together. Being a theatre fan is exactly the same. Every fan celebrates theatre in their own way but when we all come together to share in our love of all things stagey, the result is an atmosphere that is just so special.”
