Brand-new musical theatre cabaret to play at Birmingham’s Old Joint Stock

Bradley Benson Productions will return to Birmingham on 5 September with a brand-new musical theatre cabaret journey from the West Midlands to the West End.

Playing at Birmingham's home of fringe theatre, the Old Joint Stock Theatre, From the West Midlands to the West End... and Back Again is an intimate musical theatre cabaret led by a professional cast, showcasing the wealth of musical theatre talent born, bred, and connected to the West Midlands. Shining a spotlight on the performers, creatives, and enduring magic of the genre, the show explores the stories, inspirations, journeys, and theatrical spirit that have shaped careers both at home and on stages beyond.

Featuring something old, something new, definitely something sung, something blue, songs from roles they'll never play, and, of course, a few musical theatre favourites you'll be hard-pressed not to sing along to - and everything in between from the musical theatre songbook.

So “sit back, relax, take a deep breath, open your eyes” and let us ‘Willkommen’ you in for this theatrical journey.

Casting and creatives to be announced.

Speaking about the production, Bradley Benson said: “Having been away from theatre for some time, stepping back into the spotlight with this project fills me with so much joy. Producing a show in Birmingham after 11 years is incredibly exciting and the start of a new chapter. This show is a celebration of where it all began - the theatres, the musicals, the friendships, and the experiences that inspired so many of us. It’s a musical theatre love letter and created for Midlands audiences who continue to fill our theatres, support local productions, and share in the magic of musical theatre.”
