Bill Kenwright Ltd presents TWELVE ANGRY MEN UK tour this Autumn
Bill Kenwright Ltd have announced that their acclaimed production of TWELVE ANGRY MEN is back in session! Hailed as “the classiest, most intelligent drama playing in the West End”, the stage adaptation of the 1957 three-time Academy Award nominated film, will return to theatres this Autumn for a national tour, beginning at Theatre Royal Windsor from 3 September.
CEO of the Bill Kenwright Group, David Gilbery, said: “Twelve Angry Men remains one of the greatest courtroom dramas ever written – a true masterclass in suspense and storytelling that asks timeless questions about justice, prejudice and the courage it takes to stand alone. We are thrilled to be bringing our acclaimed production back to audiences across the UK with such a tremendous cast.”
A jury has murder on their minds and a life in their hands, as they decide the fate of a young delinquent accused of killing his father. But what appears to be an open and shut case soon becomes a huge dilemma, as prejudices and preconceived ideas about the accused, the trial, and each other turn the tables every which way, until the nail-biting climax…
The cast is led by Gray O’Brien (Coronation Street, ITV), Bill Ward (The Shawshank Redemption, UK tour), Ricky Norwood (Eastenders, BBC), Tristan Gemmill (Casualty, BBC), and Ben Nealon (Soldier Soldier, ITV).
Completing the line-up are Paul Beech (The Crucible, Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch), Graham Elwell (The Bodyguard, UK tour), Jeffrey Harmer (An Inspector Calls, UK tour), Mark Heenehan (Jersey Boys, West End/UK tour), Kenneth Jay (The Woman In Black, West End), Paul Lavers (Catch Me If You Can, UK tour), Owen Oldroyd (The Shark Is Broken, UK tour) and Micquel Pereira (professional stage debut).
Twelve Angry Men was written by Reginald Rose. The production is directed by Christopher Haydon, with design by Michael Pavelka, lighting by Chris Davey, and sound by Andy Graham.
Following Windsor, the tour will visit Aberdeen, Birmingham, Guildford, Darlington, High Wycombe, and Cheltenham, with further dates/venues to be announced.
