Joining the previously announced Toheeb Jimoh as Romeo and Isis Hainsworth as Juliet will be Raphael Akuwudike (Sons of the Prophet, Hampstead Theatre) as Balthazar, Jamie Ballard (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, West End) as Capulet, Miles Barrow (Aladdin, West End) as Benvolio, Amanda Bright (The Snail House, Hampstead Theatre) as Lady Capulet, Luke Cinque-White (Billy Elliot the Musical, UK tour) as Servant/Gregory, James Cooney (Henry V, Shakespeare’s Globe) as Paris, Paul Higgins (The Doctor, Almeida Theatre) as Friar Lawrence, Jyuddah Jaymes (Twelfth Night, Young Vic) as Tybalt, Kieron Jecchinis (Our Country’s Good, Ramps on the Moon) as Prince, Jo McInnes (Medea, West End) as Nurse, Daniel Phung (Message in a Bottle, European tour) as Apothecary/Sampson, Jack Riddiford (Jerusalem, West End) as Mercutio, and Gideon Turner (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, West End/Broadway) as Montague.

Shakespeare’s classic tale tells of two families at war, when a young couple from opposing sides fall in love, but Verona is awash with bloodlust and rage. Will they become the next sacrifice in this brutal feud?

The production is designed by Chloe Lamford, with costumes by Debbie Duru, lighting by Lee Curran, sound by Gareth Fry, and casting by Julia Horan CDG.
